Rin is a Screen Time utility with no account system. Your app selections and blocking settings stay on your device.
Screen Time data
Apple's Family Controls frameworks give Rin opaque identifiers for the apps, categories, and websites you select. Rin stores those selections in its private App Group so its Screen Time extensions can enforce your choices. Rin cannot read the names or contents of selected apps.
Activity and blocking history
Rin stores schedules, access requests, blocking events, and summary statistics on your device. Apple provides activity reports through Screen Time APIs. Rin does not send your selected apps, browsing history, or activity reports to our server.
Analytics and crash reports
When analytics are enabled, Rin may send limited product events to PostHog. These events do not include selected apps, websites, activity reports, or custom schedule names. You can disable analytics in Settings.
Rin may use Sentry for technical crash and error reports. Screenshots, view hierarchies, default personal information, and performance traces are disabled.
Purchases
Apple processes App Store purchases. Rin may use RevenueCat to check purchase status. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app identifier and transaction details, but not your payment card or Screen Time data.
Website data
This website has no accounts, advertising, or first-party analytics. Its host may process standard request and security logs.
Your choices
You can disable analytics, revoke Screen Time permission in iOS Settings, delete Rin's local data by removing the app, and manage purchases through Apple. Email privacy@getrin.app with privacy questions.
